小时候，还记得有一天，我的兄弟很兴奋地奔出屋外。 「屋里有一位男士！」他说：「他不是天主教徒！他是基督教徒！」

我立刻想，这位男士一定有异于常人，于是，我跑进屋里去看他。我想看看，他是不是拥有跟我们不一样的眼睛，不一样的嘴巴和不一样的耳朵。我从未见过或听过有任何一个不是天主教徒的人。

大出意料之外，我发现这位男士，这位「基督教徒」无论样貌言行都跟我们一模一样。今天，我才了解到，在我皈依耶稣基督训诲的历程中，这是很简单，但却十分重要的第一步。借着一个儿童纯真的观察，我明白了天主那最奥妙的真理：祂平等地创造每一个人。

韦布荣和我的相知相交，领我迈出崭新独特的脚步。我洞悉到世人万众一体，亲如骨肉。这份友谊也令我更认识到万众一体的真实，和当中所蕴含的美。在默主哥耶中，与荣经过了无数小时的祈祷、工作及详谈，使我了解到天主并没有架设任何屏障来分隔我们，我好像重新听到耶稣基督在十字架上对祂的母亲说： 「女人，这些是你的儿子。」是广义的交托。

这是默主哥耶悔改的真正经验。当天主来领导祂的子民时，他们会悔改，并更深刻地领悟天主的奥秘，彼此分享。每一个用心灵来聆听天主圣言的人都会达致一个完全自我认知的境界，天地交融。就在这境界中，恐惧和不安才开始消逝。

此书不是要对默主哥耶事件的最后判决作出任何臆测。这是对信仰的见证，是让圣神亲临带领的人那悔改经验的见证。
