Message of Our Lady through Mirjana on May 2nd 2013 |

"Dear children; anew, I am calling you to love and not to judge. My Son, according to the will of the Heavenly Father, was among you to show you the way of salvation, to save you and not to judge you. If you desire to follow my Son, you will not judge but love like your Heavenly Father loves you. And when it is the most difficult for you, when you are falling under the weight of the cross, do not despair, do not judge; instead, remember that you are loved, and praise the Heavenly Father because of His love. My children, do not deviate from the way on which I am leading you. Do not recklessly walk into perdition. May prayer and fasting strengthen you so that you can live as the Heavenly Father would desire; that you may be my apostles of faith and love; that your life may bless those whom you meet; that you may be one with the Heavenly Father and my Son. My children, that is the only truth, the truth that leads to your conversion, and then to the conversion of all those whom you meet - those who have not come to know my Son - all those who do not know what it means to love. My children, my Son gave you a gift of the shepherds. Take good care of them. Pray for them. Thank you."

Written by Jakob Marschner, March 17th, 2013
As Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Pope Francis opened his diocese to Medjugorje priests, and asked Fr. Jozo Zovko to bless him. And shortly before he left for the papal conclave in Rome, he approved of visionary Ivan Dragicevic’s public apparition arrangements that drew 10,000 people.

Medjugorje is far from unknown to Pope Francis.
In the recent newsletter of the organization Children of Medjugorje, Sr. Emmanuel Maillard summarizes three occasions when the new Pope, as Archbishop of Buenos Aires, approved of public talks from prominent Medjugorje visitors in his diocese.
The most recent of these approvals was given just a few weeks ago:

Media: Rome positive, but case remains open |

The Vatican Commission is impressed with Medjugorje’s worldwide fruits but its final view cannot be predicted, a Croatian newspaper writes. Recognizing and dismissing the apparitions are both unlikely. Another half year of work is needed before the members vote, probably in secret.
Another half year is needed for the Vatican Commission to finish its work, a Croatian newspaper writes
Investigating Medjugorje will continue in Rome. Though the recent session of the Vatican Commission was reported to be the final one, it only concluded one part of the investigation, and the Commission cannot be expected to finish its work until mid-2013.

Divine Mercy Sunday, April 7, 2013 |
|
|
|
|
By Fr. Marco Testa, St. Mary Immaculate Church, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His steadfast love endures for ever" (Ps. 118).
Today is Divine Mercy Sunday and we celebrate the steadfast love (hesed; mercy) of God which endures for ever. The second Sunday of the Easter Season was established as Divine Mercy Sunday by Blessed John Paul II during the celebration of the Jubilee of the Year 2000. This occurred contemporaneously with the canonization St. Faustina Kowalska, a humble, Polish Sister who was born in 1905 and died in 1938. She was a mystic, a soul chosen by our Lord to make known the great treasure of God's mercy. This canonization was the first of the new millennium. It is very significant that Blessed John Paul II chose both to establish this Feast of the Divine Mercy and to canonize this humble apostle of Divine Mercy at the very beginning of the new millennium; in doing so he was calling the Church to return to the very essence of the Gospel. Pope Benedict XVI has stated that "mercy is the central nucleus of the Gospel message; it is the very name of God, the Face with which he revealed himself in the Old Covenant and fully in Jesus Christ, the incarnation of creative and redemptive love". At the close of a century unparalleled in brutality, bloodshed and war and particularly characterized in its latter years by what he aptly termed a culture of death, Blessed John Paul was calling us to rediscover the very heart of the Gospel through the witness of St. Faustina, a messenger of the Merciful Heart of Jesus. One may wonder why despite our comprehensive scientific knowledge of what pertains to life we can be so indifferent in the face of so many evident offences committed against the gift of life. The cause of this indifference is a disease of the soul, a spiritual deficiency, which if unattended, may lead to destruction and despair. Our spiritual death begins when we let ourselves remain unmoved by suffering. Worse still is when we are unmoved by the suffering that we cause in others. For this reason, if for no other, we must endeavour to put on the mind and heart of Jesus Christ (Cf. 1Cor. 2:16), seeking always to be merciful, gentle and humble and to become ourselves apostles of God's tender mercy.

Pope Francis and Medjugorje |
|
|
|
|
Viva Francis, Pope of the Americas! On the evening of March 13th (Marthe Robin's birthday), we were glued to our computer screen, waiting for the red curtain to open. Then we saw an unknown figure appear, a Cardinal whom no journalist made mention of, a Cardinal whom the Holy Spirit had secretly set apart. He is one to Our Lady's liking: humble, determined, firm in the Church's faith, a fighter for the Gospel before a hostile government - in short a friend of simplicity and filled with charity for all! While the journalists are still talking, the Christian media is giving good commentaries on his person and his work.
I [Sr. Emmanuel] don't need to add anything else to these reports,
but here are a few points closely related to Medjugorje for which we give thanks to God:
- For years the Archbishop of Buenos Aires had been following the events in Medjugorje and gave them credit.
- He welcomed Fr. Jozo Zovko while on his mission in Argentina.
- He welcomed Fr. Danko last year, for his mission through Argentina. (Fr. Danko is a Franciscan from St. James parish in Medjugorje, well known by pilgrims.)
- Cardinal Bergoglio allowed Ivan to spread his witness in Buenos Aires early this March.
- One of his first initiatives, the day after his election, was to consecrate his Pontificate to the Blessed Mother. He went to Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica at 8:00 am, brought a bouquet of flowers for the Virgin Mary and prayed silently in front of her Icon. Didn't the Gospa ask in Medjugorje that we always begin our work with a prayer and finish it with giving thanks?
- For the past 3 years his confessor has been a Franciscan from Herzegovina! For the previous 30 years his confessor had been Fr. Berislav Ostojic, a Jesuit and a Croatian (now deceased).
- Last, he is the one who will enfold the workings of the Vatican Commission on Medjugorje once Pope Emeritus Benedict hands over the file to him, which is hopefully positive. Let's pray that its contents will be released soon.

Marija: Baby Jesus spoke with authority |

Hearing the Infant Jesus give Christmas message instead of Mary was a great surprise to visionary Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti. Afterwards she cried a lot, but also felt a great gratitude. “He spoke with great authority” and “I am trying to understand what I saw” Marija tells in radio interview.
“Jesus addressed me as the King of Peace. It was a child but these words were spoken with authority. With a voice that remained strong within me” Medjugorje visionary Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti tells of her surprising Christmas Day encounter with the Infant Jesus
Authority exuded from the Child Jesus when Medjugorje visionary Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti heard the Child give her a message on December 25, instead of His Mother. His voice remained strong within Marija when she composed herself in tears after the apparition was over.
The experience was completely unexpected for Marija who says she has seen the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus in her arms every Christmas Day for 31 years, but never heard Jesus speak before. When she talked to Radio Maria soon after the apparition, she still struggled to understand what she had seen.
